Finally came the day of the opening of the first rooms of the great Uffizi.
The announcement came through the Internet, preferred means of communication by the Mayor of Florence, Matteo Renzi: 'On 17 December are finally inaugurated the first eight halls of the great Uffizi'.

After about five years of constant work, visitors can finally enjoy the results achieved: the new Scale of West with the shape of a stone tower, which leads directly to the new exhibition halls, with works of foreign painters from the Sixteenth to the Seventeenth century. Also changes as regards the walls: the new cabinets shall release you from traditional Vasari module white and gray and opting instead for the color blue, more vibrant and lit spreaded on a rose.
